Winchelsea festival prize

A solo recital in the 2017-2018 Winchelsea Arts concert series in the historic church of St Thomas the Martyr, Winchelsea. The date of the recital will be established in consultation with the winner - Prize awarded by Peter Hatch

Thomastik-Infeld Vienna Violin Prize

A complete set of violin strings, following a personal consultation, provided by Thomastik-Infeld Vienna.

Thomastik-Infeld Vienna Viola Prize

A complete set of viola strings, following a personal consultation, provided by Thomastik-Infeld Vienna.

Thomastik-Infeld Vienna Cello Prize

A complete set of Cello strings, following a personal consultation, provided by Thomastik-Infeld Vienna. 

BAM Violin Prize

A double layer bag for violin provided by BAM.

BAM Viola Prize

A double layer bag for viola provided by BAM.

BAM Sheet Music Prize

A sheet/file music pouch provided by BAM.

BAM Accessories Pouch Prize

An accessories pouch provided by BAM.

Note: These prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the donor of the prize. For example, if the director of Festival XXX wants to award a performance opportunity, they can award this prize to any competitor they would like to. Conversely, the prize may not be awarded if the director feels that there is no appropriate candidate.

There are no prizes attached to any other place. All the prizes are based on the decision of the Honorary Jury members and are not based on the rankings that the core jury provides.

Grand Prize

To include:

  1. The Promote Classical Prize - 10 hours of free consultancy and career management by 'Promote Classical'.

  2. The Encore Photo Shoot Prize - a photo shoot provided and paid for by 'Encore'.

  3. The Encore Media Prize - an exclusive interview to be published on 'Encore'.

  4. The Manchester Prize - An exclusive feature to be published by our media partner, The Manchester Magazine.

  5. The Proudlock Prize - A commissioned piece by our associate composer, Alexander Proudlock.

  6. The Rashkovsky Prize - An invitation to be on the Jury of the second series of the New Stars International Music Competition.

In each of the three age categories there will be a first, second, third, fourth and fifth prize available. The grand and first prizes may not be shared and must be awarded. 

 

Special Prizes

These prizes are to be awarded by honorary jury members and include:

 

Chesterman-March Prize

An invitation to play in concert with the "No Dice Collective" ensemble. This will involve a commissioned piece featuring the soloist. - Prize awarded by Joe Chesterman-March.

 

Crescendo Prize

An invitation to participate in the Crescendo International Music Festival in Florida, USA - Prize awarded by Daniel Dmitry Askerov.

 

kings recital prize

An invitation to perform a recital at Kings College School Wimbledon - Prize awarded by Leandro Silvera.

 

Kings masterclass prize

An invitation to participate and perform in a masterclass at Kings College School Wimbledon - Prize awarded by Leandro Silvera

 

MANCHESTER SINFONIETTA CLASSICAL CONCERTO PRIZE

A solo concerto opportunity to play a classical concerto, subject to repertoire and scheduling negotiations, with the Manchester Sinfonietta - Prize awarded by William Padfield.

 

MANCHESTER SINFONIETTA MODERN CONCERTO PRIZE

A solo concerto opportunity to play a modern concerto, subject to repertoire and scheduling negotiations, with the Manchester Sinfonietta -  Prize awarded by William Padfield.

 

MUSS PRIZE

A solo concerto opportunity, subject to repertoire and scheduling negotiations, with the MUSS Orchestra in Manchester - Prize awarded by Toby Holden.

A world premiere and dedication of a specially written piece by Alexander Proudlock, to be performed at the Royal Academy of Music, London, UK - Prize awarded by Alexander Proudlock.

 

Tempest Concerto Prize

A solo concerto opportunity in a London venue with the Tempest Symphony Orchestra, subject to repertoire and scheduling negotiations - Prize awarded by Otis Enokido-Lineham.
